Swiss animal laws

I was reading an article today about new animal cruelty laws in Switzerland and I thought it was really interesting.

Apparently it is illegal to house goldfish and birds by themselves, as well as other social animals.

Dog owners must take a two part course on caring and training their dog.

And fisherman must take a course on how to humanely kill a fish.

How they would "police" all this I have no idea...

Rental Properties and Pets

Hi all,

The amount of times I have come across someone whom has been persecuted as a pet owner, is amazing!Rentals and Pets

When it comes to renting and having an animal, landlords or real-estate agencies have a one mind set dogma over not allowing pets in rentals. Why?

Yippee, Rehomed stories are now on display.

Hi all,

A quick shout out to let you know that the rehomed stories are now displaying on the adopted animals page.

There was a glitch before, but all fixed now.

Cheers

Blondie wants to blog

Blondie has a rehoming story and nowhere to tell it. Please give her a spot. Billie has the same story, but how do you do it?

Survey gives Albury dog owners a say.

What features should be included in a dog playground? If you like that line of questioning, don't miss your chance to contribute to Albury City's Dogs in Parks review.
Council is surveying dog owners to determine how effectively their needs are being met.
The survey can be completed on Albury City's website or posted to you. For further info, contact Albury City Recreation and Open Space Coordinator Brad Gill on 0260238750. Survey responses need to be with council by 8th March.
